MJ Photography

Meghan has been an amateur photographer since middle school. Through high school and college, photography fell to the wayside as she got busier and busier. Then, last year, one of her best friends was left without a photographer for their wedding so Meghan offered to take some photos. She took the photos, edited them, and sent them off. Her friend ended up loving them! She was so happy with the photos that she encouraged Meghan to make a Facebook page and offered to promote her photography. Meghan didn’t end up making the Facebook page, but her friend shared all of them on her personal page, crediting Meghan as the photographer. Another friend saw the photos and inquired about doing a shoot. Since then, Meghan has gotten to photograph several family shoots, a newborn shoot, and even a birthday party! Her love for photography is completely renewed.

Becoming a ‘part time photographer’ has not only given Meghan a creative outlet outside of her profession, but has also allowed her to collaborate with her clients and make memories while capturing theirs. She’s also been fortunate to have gotten to photograph for her friends which makes her heart soar!

She definitely doesn’t have everything down and is learning more and more every day, getting better at it as she goes. She hopes you see the joy in these pictures that she and her clients had on each shoot.

{Fun fact: Meghan drew and photographed the picture that appears as the website background. She also photographed the self portraits above and on the home and contact screens!}
